Re: Captain America? Phuck no!

I can't even imagine what the budget will end up being -- this wasn't 1 or 2 days of reshoots, this was WEEKS and it's the 2nd or 3rd time they've had to do it. Hiring new actors, dumping story lines...Doomcock was right, AGAIN!

Re: rate the last movie you saw

THE FALL GUY 5.5/10 Noisy and unappealing update of the old '80s TV series has a few funny moments but never for a second did I buy the supposed relationship between Ryan Gosling (as a veteran movie stuntman) and Emily Blunt, his former camera operator bestie, now a big-time director on a movie whe...

A Sydney Sweeney SPIDER-WOMAN movie might have worked but it's too bad they blew it already with this one!

It must be amazing working for a corporation that by embracing DEI they can use it a shield for criticism, including lousy writing, direction and performances. :x

Worst since '95 but it's actually worse than that -- even this dud would well over $40 million adjusted for today's inflation. https://people.com/thmb/JnmMyLKo1rYlY5fQ7MzC2x0o20w=/750x0/filters:no_upscale():max_bytes(150000):strip_icc():focal(999x0:1001x2):format(webp)/casper-watn-101023-5ee73bb3a0a...

Re: Memorial Day Box-Office: FURIOSA Bottoms Out, Worst Holiday Weekend in 40 Years

Yeah. Again, you get boxed in as a 'sexist' for saying this, but in the last 10-15 years, how many franchises with a male lead have been resurrected with a gender swap? And why? MAD MAX, STAR WARS, PREDATOR, EVIL DEAD, GHOSTBUSTERS, etc. And it's not about "equity," it's entirely about $$$...

Re: Netflix CEO: movies aren't necessarily better on the big screen

Smartphone isn't good for anything except youtube when I'm trying to fix something  But TVs are another matter. I see everything on the biggest screen possible but our theater still has some ridiculously small junky screens where my home theater blows it out of the water He's feeling frisky tho...

Re: Netflix CEO: movies aren't necessarily better on the big screen

Well that's absurd, but he's probably feeling emboldened by the miserable box-office returns of this weekend. This summer is going to reignite the debate. With no Maverick or Barbenheimer in sight, theaters are going to struggle. Hollywood hasn't learned its lesson yet and seems hellbent on pushing ...
