Re: rate the last movie you saw
The overseas Fox Blu-Rays of LEGEND aren't region coded so any release you get wouldn't be locked. They also have the longer version as a "bonus feature"

Re: rate the last movie you saw
Too bad the European version can't be seen as well since I get that's a different rights holder. It's not a different rights holder per se -- Fox has the movie overseas, Universal domestically, but they co-own it depending on where you are. The European version was easily found (and still can be) i...

Re: rate the last movie you saw
It's scarcely any different than the other ending, him running off alone versus them running off together. I don't think it's supposed to be depressing at all.
The contrived ending is the US theatrical one where they overlaid Darkness laughing like its going to lead into some kind of sequel.

Re: rate the last movie you saw
GLASS stinks. Shyamalan's great tease of something exciting happening and then pulls the rug out from under you. Willis must have been in the early stages of dementia (or worse) because he looks totally uninterested also.

Re: Salem's Lot...is it EVER being relased?
This sounds about right...completely plausible. YouTube channel The Kingdom Movie Channel posted an update in which the host goes over an email from an alleged insider close to the situation that blows the lid off what’s been going on behind the scenes since at least 2022. The delays dating back to ...

Another Studio About to Bite the Dust: Sony's Proposed Plan for Paramount
Paramount about to follow Fox into the graveyard of Hollywood?
Another studio going away would absolutely continue the decline of the movie industry, and old Hollywood itself, as we know it.
Hopefully Sony doesn't win this one.

Re: LORD OF THE RINGS: THE HUNT FOR GOLLUM - Andy Serkis & Crew - 2026
I think their "learned lesson" is only Peter Jackson's people ought to be making these "sequels" or "prequels" or whatever they are. It is incredibly ironic that Jackson -- who people were going nutty over his LOTR films and saying he was the next big thing in cinema --...

LORD OF THE RINGS: THE HUNT FOR GOLLUM - Andy Serkis & Crew - 2026

Re: KINGDOM OF THE PLANET OF THE APES - Memorial Day - Trailer
Reviews are in and they're mostly really good!
I'm up for this. WAR bored me but the change in setting and the fact we're actually getting the PLANET OF THE APES this time has me interested.

Summer Box-Office Haul Could Be "Lowest In Decades"
Nothing but sequels, prequels, and nothing new as far as the eyes can see...coming up with another BARBENHEIMER or TOP GUN MAVERICK is going to be a tough task this year. https://www.cnbc.com/2024/05/08/summer-box-office-preview-movie-slate-lacks-franchise-hits.html For the first time since 2009, th...

PHANTOM MENACE John Williams WBZ Interview
Dusted this off from my own archive -- a local Channel 4 Boston interview with John Williams (plus George Lucas and a visiting Steven Spielberg!) during the PHANTOM MENACE scoring sessions in London.

Re: Weekend Box Office 5/5 - FALL GUY Falls From Expectations
To someone who knows nothing of THE FALL GUY, the movie's concept was poorly defined in the trailers they put out. Films "about Hollywood" seldom do that great, and THE FALL GUY as a "brand" is not anything that means anything to anyone really..we're talking a 40 year old TV seri...
