Re: Kathleen Kennedy's Plan: Remake STAR WARS With LEIA As The Hero

When you take the critics out of the equation, it comes down to the resonance of the material to the audience - or individual. I don't give two sh**ts what the critic says or, sad to say, Lukas says..

BTW, I forgot to send back my RED DRAGON Promo CD from that FYC fan campaign 20 years ago.

Do you think anybody will care at this point?

Re: THE LAST JEDI - Just as Good as I Remembered!

Just for the Space Leia thing it might be worth watching once (for free) if you are able to do so...I laughed out loud when I saw it and will never forget how ludicrous that scene is. Complete with the overwrought, GONE WITH THE WIND-like Princess Leia's Theme arrangement. The moment STAR WARS -- a...

He has a good run I guess.

Such a wealth of contributions to the Bond franchise after "Dr. No."

Re: OBI-WAN Series - May - Trailer

I guess one could make a case that Natalie Holt was also attached for the "girl power" woke element of the production. I have nothing against her personally - and I did like the quirkiness of the Loki score. But she was WAY out of her depth on Obi-Wan. So much so, that this is a snippet of...

Re: OBI-WAN Series - May - Trailer

I find it interesting that Andrew Stanton of JOHN CARTER was credited as writer and story on the finale. Honestly, I didn't notice if he had a hand in the prior episodes, so I guess I'll have to go back and look. Overall, I think this final episode may have been the strongest and best of this series...

Re: OBI-WAN Series - May - Trailer

I have to admit that if I didn't know about the controversy involving the new character, I wouldn't have thought there was anything to get worked up about. She seems fine to me although I can't remember her name other than she's the "third sister." That other villain who seems to be secon...

Re: OBI-WAN Series - May - Trailer

I don't know how to say it but this theme sounds like it has "too many notes". It's a lot of huffing and puffing, and a flourish here or there that sounds like some kind of elegaic Force theme variant or a little motif from The Phantom Menace. But like a lot of his scoring for the Disney ...

I only have two words for these moronic, woke, and racially-focused frauds:

Lando Calrissian.

A much better performance by a much more likeable character.

Re: OBI-WAN Series - May - Trailer

It doesn't really have a counterpoint, which is odd. There was some thought into it, as it sounds like a somewhat solemn version of his original "force theme." But without his sensibilities for scoring the series, it is hard to get a feel for its ability to set the overall tone. Not too ma...
