No surprise with a solid opening for the Will Ferrell-Marky Mark comedy which had its moments (but fizzled out for me in the final 30 minutes).
Also looks like the 3-D fad is starting to wane with another bomb taking shape in STEP UP 3-D, a week after the fantastic CATS AND DOGS 3-D was released to theaters.

And Inception just keeps going and going, with extremely modest 30% drop-offs from week-to-week. It's bracing to see such a complex, densely-plotted film that requires so much keen attention (and that isn't a remake or sequel) being embraced by audiences. Hear that, Hollywood...?

The Sorcerer's Apprentice made back only a third of its cost domestically...LOL!!....sorry...I laughed when I saw that.
