Fox to Retain Distribution of MGM Home Video

Well this would be nice! As I wrote before, even if Sony wins the rights to Bond and distributing MGM product theatrically worldwide, making a deal with them to handle MGM's home video distribution makes no sense. Sony's interest in their back catalog has diminished so much they've been licensing titles out to Image Entertainment recently -- and since MGM needs an influx of $$, they're much better off staying with Fox. Not to mention Fox has done a good job with most of the MGM titles on Blu-Ray recently too.

But the good news for Fox is that MGM is looking to let Fox keep distributing all of MGM's library on home video because the studio has done such a good job since 2006, especially with the James Bond franchise.
