Re: Spielberg's DUEL on 4K UHD
Just curious, is this cropped to16:9, or presented in 4:3?

Really the movie is so short it shouldn't even be an issue to get 2 versions on a single disc...good to see though. It's Spielberg too -- a no brainer
GRUV is going to be selling their limited edition steelbook -- which won't cost as much as that limited box.

I just wonder if the 75-minute cut will be exclusive to the big "swag" boxed set, which would be unfortunate if so.

Re: Spielberg's DUEL on 4K UHD
These swag sets that have been rolling out have no unique disc content. It's all postcards, mini posters, and the box it's coming in. Packaging goodies, that's it.
The only one I bought was JAWS 2 because, well, it's JAWS 2 and I needed to buy it anyway. But the disc is the same as every other release, it's just the "Arrow styled box" packaging that pushes up the price tag.

Bad news...supposedly the "HD" version of the original TV edit of the movie looks horrendous.

Can't be any worse than AMERICAN GRAFFITI on UHD!
I'll take a look in a few minutes.

Well, maybe that's all there was left for them to release. Elements may have been lost in the fire, etc.
The UHD transfer of the longer version looks good at least.

Re: Spielberg's DUEL on 4K UHD
I'm so used to the extended cut of the movie I would have defaulted to that anyways (especially as it's in 4K), but it's still regrettable.

Spielberg must prefer the longer edit or else they would've taken better care of it I would imagine also.
