Re: The Fantastic Four: First Steps - Frontloaded Opening Can't Match SUPERMAN
The big question is: Was Alan Cumming acting with "mystery actors" in ATLANTA or PRAGUE? Talk about an even more dystopic experience.

Re: Disney to Remake THE X-FILES With Diverse Cast! (Shocker)
Lol is that for real? Zendaya are you kidding me?
She's the female Pedro Pascal.
The notion that these two paired together ss "government agents" defies the suspension of disbelief factor. Perhaps they'll change that aspect and just make them part of some "international organization."

Re: BFI Screening Of Rare 1977 Star Wars Film Print
The thing about "This is the version I want to be out there" is kind of moot if your audience rejects it and wants the original. At that point, George should ask himself to who he made these films for - an audience or HIMSELF?
His changes at times are more flawed than the flaws in the originals.

Re: BFI Screening Of Rare 1977 Star Wars Film Print
I just find it bitterly ironic that a trilogy of movies specifically about "striking back" against a totalitarian regime suppressing a beleaguered underclass can only be viewed in their original formats via piracy. :? And those "flawed" original versions were the ones that made Lucas an extremely ...

Re: BFI Screening Of Rare 1977 Star Wars Film Print
Probably isn't up to Disney. Lucas cared so passionately about the Special Editions replacing the original cut there may be contractual language from his sale of the company that they can't release it on video again.
That contractual point about burying the originals is the major reason, I ...

Amazon strikes again. With no email or warning, they cancelled my order at some point in the last two months on that $28 sale price. They had stated when I ordered that it was on backorder and would ship by 5/14, but alas, the order was just canceled. What a reliable disappointment.

Re: Captain America? Phuck no!
Awful! It and was a narrative mess. Almost no unique visual style and threw around easter eggs like real eggs. The music was "serviceable" but unremarkable. There were lots of assumptive knowledge that the casual viewers may not know or even watched the Disney+ show. I went into this movie with all ...

Re: Captain America? Phuck no!
I would think you'd have to be because it defies common sense. Then again, there is a tease in that trailer with Ross telling Sam "You are not Steve Rodgers. Perhaps in typical Marvel fashion, more is going on here. At least this trailer looked more interesting than the previous one.
But I ask the ...
