Re: Taylor Swift turns movie theaters into mosh pits.

I agree with what Alexander Payne said. Also, I am kind of interested in seeing his new movie when it comes out in theaters. He may not be everyone's cup of tea, but I appreciate that he's trying to tell stories that are interesting. `I'm looking forward to THE HOLDOVERS. Some of the scenes in the t...

Re: The Horrible Cover Art Thread

Figures they provide an isolated score -- for the worst film and score in the series! It's not a score I'm going to want to listen to apart from the film. Sadly. One listen of the album was enough, and the score in the movie was just "more" -- more frenetic, themeless passages, franticall...

Including the isolated John Williams score? :D
Only way I'd sit through that pile of crap again.
Well, let's just say I've developed a "process" to extract the relevant audio track without ever having to watch the movie again.

Re: LAWRENCE OF ARABIA 4K UHD $40 - Live Again (Don't Wait!)

I just got mine from Amazon yesterday. I fogot this movie was almost 4 hours long. Even though the printed artwork in this thread looks awful, the steelbook doesn't look that bad. It has this special custom-painting aesthetic going. I kind of dig it.

Re: LAWRENCE OF ARABIA 4K UHD $40 - Live Again (Don't Wait!)

Great price! I'd worry if it gets fulfilled but that's a steal for something still selling $100+ on Ebay even with the new printing being sold. I also jumped at it when it reappeared again this last time. With Amazon points, I think it cost me $37. Then again I paid $30 from Amazon about 8 years ag...

Re: INDIANA JONES & THE DIAL OF DESTINY To Rival "John Carter" As Disney's Biggest Bomb

This was a weird movie for me. Indiana Jones waking up in his apartment in the middle of the NYC with his socks hung to dry on a makeshift clothesline outside of the window. He's on the sauce, so to speak. Just not how I'd like to remember the character going out. I don't understand this massive lo...

Re: Disney's SNOW WHITE & HER SEVEN POLITICALLY CORRECT COMPANIONS

Nothing to do with her acting ability. Entirely to do with her character and sense of entitlement. She needs handling from PR experts, at the least. She grew up in Bergen County, New Jersey - just a few towns away from me right now. Bergen County pumps out some of the most entitled people in New Je...

Re: Sneakers coming on 4K UHD from Kino

Never liked it. Sorry! Wasn't crazy about Horner's score either. But I'll give it another watch when it rolls in. I think for me, it was a letdown at the time of initial release because Phil Alden Robinson was coming off FIELD OF DREAMS - which has since become somewhat iconic for many of the eleme...

Agreed, Jarre's score is terrific. Unfortunately I think you are going to have to pull the trigger Ed :) The transfer is just superb and so nicely detailed. They're both $20.99 at least for another hour  I do think these are the lowest they've been (I paid around $26 ish last year, Shout d...
