SILENT HILL: Not Bad!

#1 Post by AndyDursin »

If you didn't catch my review in this week's column, and you're a horror fan, don't miss SILENT HILL.

Very stylish and well-directed by Christophe Gans, with some truly memorable moments. Alas the script doesn't quite uphold its end of the bargain, but it's definitely a far better movie than some of the early notices would lead you to believe.

yepp... I agree... just the visuals and sound design alone are worth getting it. The monsters are fantastic and original and the overall mood and tension is very similar to HELLRAISER II. The score unfortunately missed many points and could have beefed up the whole thing a lot... still, a pretty impressive, though flawed work. And also like Radha Mitchell... :-)

but can anyone explain the ending to me??? :-)

anyhow... seems like the European DVD will have more extras...
