This Week's AISLE SEAT - Did I miss something?

Hey, Andy! Are you taking a break this week? I was surprised when I didn't see a new AISLE SEAT on your site, and then worried when I went to the Film Score Daily page and found it MIA there as well. What's up?

I assume everything's okay with you since you're still posting on the board. Did I miss an announcement or something?

Yes indeed I opted to take a week off...actually I've been working on next week's, but because we're in a bit of a "summer lull" before things pick up steam heading into September, I decided to spread it out a bit. (Next week's column will be extra-sized as a result!!). This is very much the quietest time of the year for DVDs relatively speaking -- once the kids head back to school they tend to jack up the "big releases" so to speak.

I used to do a column every 2-3 weeks but in the last year it's pretty much been weekly!!

I can't complain, but opted to take a couple of days off and give Scott Bettencourt an extra few days work over on the FSM site for a change

Considering Andy just got hitched, I'd say he deserves a week off.

At any rate the new column isn't just done, it's already uploaded on the front page

We're going away this weekend so I had to get it finished before tomorrow!
