Imagine being so excited about the prospects of a remake simply because of a Black race-switch in its leads.

History shows you how many times it's never worked out...by why care about that when it's easier to call anyone RACIST for being less than excited for another hackneyed retread.

I mean,I have to tell you -- I feel played out by THE X-FILES. I honestly don't care about this project at all. Black, white, let it go. And Ryan Cogler? I'm supposed to get excited by his hire? WHy? What FRESH stuff is he going to bring -- the SMOKING MAN being TRANS or something? lol

Chris Carter killed this franchise LONG before Coogler got his hands on it. The last season of the original run was TERRIBLE (and it had been coasting on prior glories for a few seasons before that), as was the second movie in 2008 and the pair of lousy "revival" seasons. I would actually not be opposed to a fresh take on it, but not this "DEI" version.
