MATT DAMON to Play Kirk in Abrams' TREK?

I can't see this....I mean, Matthew McConaughey strikes me as someone with the kind of charisma Shatner used to have when he was younger...but Matt Damon is usually in need of an injection or two of it.

Anyway hopefully this is just a rumor. It's a longshot, but I also wonder if the mixed reaction MI3 received in the US means Paramount could be having second thoughts about handing the series "carte blanche" over to JJ Abrams, but we'll see...(and yes I know MI3 is cleaning up overseas, which leads one to speculate that Tom Cruise reading the phonebook could also clean up overseas!).

Terrible.

First I saw Ben Affleck suggested, now Matt Damon? Why not have both and bring in Robin Williams we can just do Good Will Hunting 2 in space and finish it? We can make sure the two guys have a hand in the script again so everyone is cursing literally every other word, and that script will somehow probably win an Oscar anyways.

No prequelitis. No TOS remake otherwise no sale for me.

I just don't think Damon has the charisma. He can be a fine actor but very seldom does he display any sense of humor across his roles. In fact I'd almost think he'd be the perfect candidate...for a Rick Berman-produced TOS prequel!

as long as they don't get ben affleck Im there! But well, what was his last movie again???? Bennifer has always been a miscalculation from Hollywood I think. Somehow they thought he is a major star, but I think he was only lucky to be in movies, which would have made a lot of money anyway (Armageddon...). So, when he became the leading man the movies bombed, because nobody really liked him. Seems like Hollywood noticed thatnow, still they threw way to much money to him...

what a bland actor... yuk...

why they keep doing the same with Colin Farrell I don'tknow, but at least he is a great actor!
